Kuan Yin
\n<\/span><\/span>Let not a single doubt arise to haunt us,
\nFor Kuan Yin Bodhisattva,
\nHoly Sage,
\nAmid life’s troubles,
\nAnd the pains of dying,
\nWill ever be our refuge, and our aid.
\nO Holy One!
\nReplete with every virtue,
\nYour kindly gaze beholds all living things,
\nA boundless sea you are, of every blessing,
\nAnd let us bow to offer our esteem.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nHer face is bathed in Holy Light.
\nShe is Compassion itself.
\nHer orchid heart delights in Mercy.
\nNo matter what evils we face,
\nNo matter what beasts or demons,
\nNo matter what ill fortune or disease,
\nNo matter even if we face death,
\nKuan Yin destroys them all
\nWith her Compassionate glance,
\nWith her perfected soul.
\nShe is infinitely blessed.
\nLet us bow to her in prayer.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

If I were adrift upon the ocean
\nWith demons and dragons all around,
\nI would think of sweet Kuan Yin
\nAnd the hungry waters would subside.
\nIf I were trapped within a furnace
\nAs hot as hell’s own blazes,
\nI would think of Kuan Yin’s power,
\nAnd the flames would turn to water.
\nIf enemies pursued me, if I were thrown
\nFrom a high mountain peak,
\nIf knives were raised against me,
\nIf I were imprisoned or beset by beasts,
\nI would call on her.
\nHer pity shields me from the lightning.
\nHer Compassion is like a cloud around me,
\nWhich rains down sweetness and
\nPuts out the fires of my sorrow.
\nHer very name is powerful
\nAs thunder on the ocean.
\nCall it often, pray to her often,
\nFor there is none like her in this world!<\/span><\/p>\n
