To have a central arts center for the literary, educational, visual and
performing arts and to foster a creative environment where artists can share
space, ideas, experience, and opportunities.
To cultivate ongoing relationships between artists and communities by
celebrating self-expression as a fundamental human right which is imperative
for the healthy growth of children, young people, individuals, and
communities.

To explore the integral connection
between spirit, art, and healing.
To represent the concerns of people of diverse populations in California in
regard to the preservation and creative uniqueness of their cultural
identities through the arts.
To serve individual artists and support their freedom to develop and create,
and provide the public with opportunities to experience and understand their
work. Nine Muses will realize this goal by offering assistance and
information to artists and organizations that directly serve artists, by
supporting arts programming in the community, and by establishing and
building collaborative relationships with others who advocate for the arts
in California and throughout the country.
